CHCS Searches for Executive Director

As we prepare for the close of another great school year, I wanted to take a moment to update you on a few exciting happenings on the horizon.

The theme for our 2017 – 2018 academic year is “Next Step. Next Level. “, which is aptly titled as we consider the school’s growth. Since our opening in 2014, we have evolved from a K-5 school with 255 students to a K-7 program with 460 students. Our growth will continue during upcoming 2017 – 2018 academic year with the addition of an 8 th Grade class, which will increase student enrollment to 520 students, and the construction of a new classroom and multi-purpose building.

In keeping with the school’s expansion and our continued to drive toward excellence, the Board is making efforts to ensure CHCS’s operations, administration and board are in step with a program of our size and scope. Today, we launched a national search for a newly created Executive Director position. The position description, requirements and instructions for applying are listed here.

The Executive Director will focus on a few key activities that we believe will enable Principal Buttler, the administration team and faculty to continue their focus on creating an academically rigorous and unique environment for our students to flourish. In particular, the Executive Director will oversee business operations, lead the administrative staff, and develop partnerships and fundraising initiatives. The position will also work closely with Principal Buttler to drive academic excellence across the school.

We are proud of CHCS’s accomplishments to date and excited by what the future holds. We remain committed to ensuring the right people and positions are in place to enable us to reach our goals and strategic objectives. I will update you on the position as the search progresses.

Wishing you and your students a happy close to the year and a great summer.

Warm regards,

Chattahoochee Hills Charter School Governing Board
